Sunbelt Plum Perfect
The Sunbelt Plum Perfect is a standout Floribunda rose specifically bred to handle the intense heat of the "Sunbelt" regions (USDA Zones 5-10). It was developed by the renowned Kordes family in Germany and is part of their "Sunbelt" collection which focuses on color retention and disease resistance in warm climates. The Bloom: It produces incredible rich, plum-purple to deep lavender flowers. The blooms are "very double" with 40 to 75 ruffled petals, giving them a romantic, old-fashionded apperance. Fragrance: It has a mild but sweet scent, often described as having hints of raspberry or cassis. The Plant: It is a compact, bushy shrub reaching about 3 to 4 feet tall and wide. This makes it an excellent choice for borders, large containers of mass plantings where you want a "carpet" of purple. Foliage: The leaves are dark green and glossy. It is famous for its high disease resistance, particularly against black spot and mildew, which is a common struggle for purple roses. Bare Root, Own Root Grade #1, highest retail grade for roses.
