McCartney Rose
The McCartney Rose is a world-class hybrid tea rose that is a staple for anyone looking for intense fragrance and vibrant color. Bred by the house of Meilland in France and introduced in the early 1990's as a birthday gift for Sir Paul McCartney from his record label. Color: A striking, deep rosy pink. The buds are enormous and open into massive, high-centered flowers (about 4 to 6 inches across). Fragrance: It has an exceptionally strong, sweet and spicy perfume that can scent an entire room. It has won numerous international awards specifically for its fragrance. Vase Life: Because it has very long, sturdy stems and a high petal count (20-45 petals), it is considered one of the best pink roses for cutting and arrangements. Growth Habit & Health: Size-It is a vigorous upright grower, typically reaching 3 to 6 feet tall. Disease Resistance: It is rated very highly for its health due to its natural resistance to black spot and mildew.
