White Eden

$40.00

The White Eden was bred by the Meilland International rose house in France (introduced as a "sport" natural mutation of Eden). It retains the iconic, globular "cabbage rose" shape. Appearance & Fragrance: Flowers-Massive deeply cupped blooms with 60 to 70+ petals. The color is a crisp creamy white, occasionally showing a very faint, pale green or soft lemon tint in the center during cooler weather. Fragrance: It has a mild peppery-sweet scent. Foliage: Large, semi-glossy, dark green leaves that provide a sharp, clean contrast to the white flowers. Growth & Performance: A vigorous climber, easily reaching 10-12 feet in height. Its canes are sturdy but can be trained horizontally along fences or arched over large structures. Disease Resistance: Excellent resistance to powdery mildew and rust. Like most eden varieties, it is a "tough" rose that holds its foliage well throughout the season. Repeat Bloom: It is a reliable repeat bloomer. You will see a massive "blanket" of white in late spring, followed by steady flushes until first frost. Landscape & Commercial Uses: Because of its formal elegant look, the White Eden is a top-tier choice for Wedding Venues & Arbors, it provides a classic, neutral backdrop for photography and ceremony sites. Floral Arrangements: The stems are strong and the heavy petal count ensures the blooms hold their shape a long time after being cut. Bare Root, Own Root Grade #1, the highest retail grade for roses.
