Quicksilver rose
The 'Quicksilver' Kordes rose is a standout member of the Arborose Collection, specifically bred for its ability to combine the vertical growth of a climber with the romantic high-petal-count look of an old fashioned rose. It is highly regarded as one of the best lavender climbers on the market due to its exceptional health and color. Color: It produces clusters of large, very double blooms in a unique luminous lavender to silvery-mauve. The color stays remarkably true and does not fade to gray as the blooms age. Fragrance: It has a mild to moderate sweet rose scent. Petal Count: The flowers are "very full" often containing 40 to 60+ petals, giving them a plush cupped, and romantic appearance. Growth Habit: This is a Large-Flowered Climber that typically reaches 7 to 10 feet tall and about 4 feet wide. It is known for having very stiff, sturdy canes. Breeder & Heritage: Bred by Kordes rose house in Germany, introduced in 2014. Collection: Part of the Arborose line developed specifically to be more disease-resistant and repeat-blooming than traditional climbing roses. Awards: frequent winner for its "no-spray" health without chemical intervention. Hardiness: USDA zones 5-11, one of the most cold hardy lavender roses. Disease Resistance: Excellent, highly resistant to black spot, powdery mildew and rust which is rare for roses in the lavender mauve color family. Bloom Cycle: Excellent repeat bloomer. Bare Root, Own Root, Grade #1. The highest retail grade of roses.
