The 'Memorial Day' rose was named to honor the American holiday and the memory of those who served in the armed forces. It is an award-winning Hybrid Tea that is specifically prized for its "old-fashioned" look and massive, room-filling perfume. Color Profile: Enormous, 5-inch blooms in a clear orchid-pink with distinct lavender undertones. The color is often deeper and more "antique" in cooler weather. Fragrance: One of the most fragrant roses, it has an exceptionally strong classic Damask scent. Petal Count: Very full blossoms with 40 to 50+ petals that open into a deep, spiraled and somewhat ruffled shape. Stems & Foliage: It produces long, sturdy stems that are nearly thornless making it a favorite for cut flowers. The foliage is a rich, semi-glossy green. Plant Height: 4 to 5 feet (upright and bushy). Hardiness: USDA zones 5-9, excellent heat tolerance.
