Dark Night Rose

The Dark Night is a show-stopping Hybrid Tea rose from the Meilland "Bloomables" Collection. It is most famous for its dramatic bicolored look: the face of the petals is a deep, velvety "black-red", while the reverse side is a contrasting creamy yellow. A truly unique "reverse" rose. The inner petals are so dark they can appear black. Fragrance: It is lightly fragrant. It is primarily grown for its incredible visual impact rather than its scent. Heat Tolerance: This is one of the best dark roses for hot climates. Unlike many deep red roses that "crisp" or turn purple in the sun, Dark Night holds its color exceptionally well in 90 degree F+ heat. Growth: It is an upright, vigorous bush reaching 4-6 feet tall and 3 feet wide, featuring very glossy, disease-resistant dark green foliage. Hardiness: Reliable in USDA Zones 5-9.
