Centennial Star Rose
The Centennial Star rose is a distinguished Hybrid Tea selected to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Star Roses. It is frequently compared to the famous 'Peace' rose but is noted for having deeper, more saturated colors and a much higher petal count. Appearance: Large 5 inch golden-yellow blooms edged in vibrant orangey-pink. The flowers are "ruffled" and very full, containing 50-70 petals. Fragrance: It possesses a strong, classic rose scent, making it a favorite for cutting and bringing indoors. Growth Habit: It is a statuesque Hybrid Tea, typically reaching 3-5 feet tall with an upright bushy habit and glossy green foliage. Hardiness: Best suited for zones 6-9. In colder zones, it requires significant winter protection or "hilling up" with mulch. Bare Root, budded, grade #1, the highest retail grade.
